Baby Monkey: Leave Me Alone

In a quiet corner of the jungle, a tiny baby monkey sat under a broad-leafed tree, hugging its knees. The other members of the troop swung playfully through the trees, but this little one stayed apart, sulking and occasionally letting out soft cries.

“Leave me alone!” the baby monkey seemed to say with its body language, turning its back whenever another monkey tried to approach. It wasn’t like the baby to act this way—it was usually full of energy, chasing after butterflies and climbing the tallest branches. But today was different.

Earlier that morning, the baby had tried to join the older monkeys in their high-flying antics. It wanted to prove it could leap across the widest gap between trees. But instead of cheers, the troop laughed when it missed the jump and fell into a pile of leaves below. The embarrassment stung worse than the fall.

Now, feeling small and defeated, the baby monkey decided to stay away from everyone. “I’ll just sit here forever,” it thought, pouting.

But the jungle had other plans. A butterfly landed on its nose, making it sneeze. A curious squirrel darted by, pausing to chatter at the lonely figure. Slowly, the baby monkey couldn’t help but smile.

Soon, one of the older monkeys approached again, this time holding a ripe fruit as a peace offering. “Come on,” the elder seemed to say, nudging the baby gently. “We all make mistakes.”

With a small but determined sigh, the baby got up and joined the others. The troop welcomed it back without hesitation, their laughter now warm and inviting.

The jungle rang with the sound of happy monkeys once more, and the baby learned an important lesson: mistakes are part of growing up, and there’s always a way back to joy.
